There’s something about tree houses that sparks an interest in our imaginations. I don’t know a single person who didn’t dream of having an epic tree clubhouse as a kid. Maybe it’s being around nature, the fresh air or being high up in a tree.
Writer and photographer Foster Huntington brought his childhood dream into reality. In Spring of 2014, he and a group of close friends, starting working on a multi-platformed tree house. It took about a full year to fully complete the project.
The lower tree house serves as Foster’s Studio or work space equipped with Wi-Fi as well as 4G coverage. The higher platform is his private bedroom. The two platforms are connected by a suspension bridge. But not only that, it also has an awesome concrete skate bowl, wood-fired hot tub, and and an amazing view of the Washington State wilderness.
There’s a short film (15 min) showing the whole process that’s very inspiring and heartwarming. Check it out!
